The Rules

Hello Clanmates! I'm posting this because we have had a lot of new members since this blog was started. I have not really been posting because I have been really busy and will try to post more often in the future.

First off, I'd like to offer a warm welcome to all the new members. This welcome not only comes from me but from the whole clan. We love to meet and chat with new people and get to know each other so we encourage interclan communication. That being said, many new members are not familiar with our basic ground rules here in 40 year old Clan. here they are as I know them and if anyone would like to add to them, please feel free.

1. DONATE.  Whenever you see someone asking for troops, please donate to them. If we all do this, we will not ever have any problems with keeping our clan castles full. Everyone plays the game differently. Some use clan castle troops for defense and others use them for offense. I personally use them for offense only as a last resort if it looks like I am about to lose a battle. But that's just me. Sometimes I use them a lot more than others. I don't judge how many times someone requests troops. However, if your requests are close to your donations, I have no problem. But if you have received a ton of troops and only donated a few, then you are wrong and should change your donation habits. I like to see more donations than troops received.  While on the subject of donations, I cannot emphasize enough: PLEASE DO NOT DONATE ANY TROOPS OTHER THAN LVL 3 ARCHERS or ABOVE  TO ANYONE WITHOUT FIRST ASKING IF IT IS OK. Lately I have been getting low level barbarians in my clan castle. If thats all you have to donate, then please ask before you do so. Most of us are willing to wait for better troops.  Why? Because low level troops make poor defenders and poor attackers so they defeat the purpose of the clan castle no matter how they are used. Please keep them for your own use.

2. BE POLITE.  Say hi when you log on. Say thank you when you get troops. Say bye when you are leaving. No one like to be in a conversation that ends abruptly without knowing why or how. We are all adults and we like to treat each other with respect. A little kindness and consideration goes a long way.

3.BE YOURSELF. We all came to this clan because we were tired of the BS that goes on in a lot of other clans. We wanted to be around like minded, adults who can let their hair down without feeling like they have to watch themselves all the time. That being said, please respect the sensibilities of  your fellow clanmates. This means that if you want to make a "special" comment to someone, contact them via Facebook or email or some other private forum. We all like a good joke and we can all handle rough language but it should not be the norm to speak like you are in the gutter. 'nuff said on that.

4. HELP EACH OTHER OUT. We are a clan. Our connections are based on the game and sometimes thats all they are. But even in the game we can ask and receive information on how to play better, or how to improve our setups. If we can connect outside of the game, Great! but if not at least try and make a connection within the game.

5. HAVE FUN! This is a game. Just a game. So enjoy yourself and try to not take it too seriously. Keep beefs to a minimum and try to take the high road if you get into a disagreement. Fighting and arguing all the time WILL get you kicked out of the clan. Mart, our clan leader is very fair and can usually arbitrate any real conflicts to the satisfaction of both parties.

and finally...

6. DO NOT PROMOTE ANYONE  ELSE TO ELDER WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL FROM MART THE CLAN LEADER. To many chiefs and not enough indians spoils the war party. This is coming from Mart.

Again, welcome and enjoy the game!

Hello Clanmates!

Hi Guys and Gals,

I haven't posted in a few days because I was somewhat reluctant to broach a subject that has happened recently. As we all know, our fellow clan member and friend Nelson Yeo  passed on last week. He was well known as one of the original founders of this clan and was very active in it even up until a day or so before his passing. I had the privilege of speaking to him once, but I cannot say that he and I were close. Because of this, I was hesitant to bring up the subject of his passing but I feel that he was such an important part of this clan it would be a disservice to not mention him. I got the feeling, from our brief acquaintance, that Nelson was a very cool guy who was a  grounding influence and who imparted a sense of politeness and generosity to our clan. I feel that these values are an integral part of our clan unity and camaraderie. Many members have  created memorials to Nelson (NYX) on their clan setups. Please take a break and check them out if you get a chance. I biggest thing that I got from Nelson when I spoke with him was his desire to motivate and inspire people to do more and improve their lives. I hope that you take his message to heart and use all your talents and gifts to do just that. Rest in Peace Nelson, our friend, you helped us soar to greater heights in the game and in our individual lives.
